Regular Water Refreshment: Changing the vase water every two or three days is crucial. Fresh, clean water is the lifeline for cut flowers, helping prevent bacteria and keeping them hydrated. In hot weather, consider placing the arrangement in the refrigerator overnight to slow down aging and keep blooms crisp.

Quesnelia. Quesnelia is a genus of flowering plants in the Bromeliaceae family, a subfamily of the Bromelioideae. The genus consists of about 20 species of plants that are native to southeastern and eastern Brazil. Quesnelia is a perfect landscaping bromeliad with its vibrant flower in various colors.

2. Keep the stem clean. Every two to three days, you will want to make a fresh trim at the bottom of the stem (preferably at an angle) so that the flowers will have a fresh cut to suck up the water.

During months of high temperatures, cut flowers won't last in a car for more than 30 minutes without beginning to wilt. During cooler temperatures, they may survive for a few hours. Always place them in a spot in the car out of direct sunlight.
